My family and I moved to Johnson City and joined Johnson City Urological Clinic in 2005. I am originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I went to Medical school at University of Texas in Houston and completed internship and residency at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. I am board certified by the American Board of Urology.

My focus during my training was on laparoscopy and minimally invasive urologic surgery. I spend much of my practice treating all types of urologic cancer, kidney stones, voiding dysfunction, and female incontinence. The addition of robotic surgery has been an especially exciting addition to our surgical procedures and allows us to offer this effective treatment close to home. Medicine and technology are advancing quickly and we are committed to adapting with it as long as we are improving patient care.

I have been married for 14 years to my wife Carla and we have a son and daughter in elementary school. We are Texas transplants who are here to stay and have recruited some family here as well. I enjoy family hikes and trips and I spend much of my free time playing basketball, soccer, golf, or reading a good book. We are actively involved in our church in Johnson City and I am privileged to be part of a great team of urologists traveling on medical mission trips.  I have served on the Quest Urology Advisory Board and this has been an excellent way to share state of the art ideas with other urologists from around the country.

I believe that our health is a complex interaction of physical, emotional, and spiritual factors and that all of these aspects are affected with illness. My personal ambition is to provide an exceptional balance of clinical and surgical skill and provide it in a personable and caring manner. I trust you will see that I do my best to be very informative without being intimidating. If I can help answer any questions, feel free to email me at gtaylormd@hotmail.com. We look forward to seeing you at Johnson City Urological Clinic.

I have been with Johnson City Urological Clinic since 2008.  I moved here from Kansas City, Kansas with my wife and three children.  My wife and I are originally from Phoenix, Arizona.  I attended medical school at the University of Kansas.  My general surgery internship was completed at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and my urologic surgery residency was completed at the University of Kansas as well.

My training is broad based in all aspects of urology, however my focus is on minimally invasive treatment options when appropriate.  I practice general urology with special interests in urologic cancers including prostate and kidney cancer, laproscopic and robotic surgery, stone disease, and urinary incontinence.
